Your questions answered
Are your wheels suitable for nickel-based super alloys?
Yes. The range was developed in partnership with Carborundum Universal (CUMI) specifically for the precision finishing of high-performance super alloys and difficult-to-machine engineered materials.
What sizes can you manufacture?
From 10mm to 610mm diameter and 1mm to 15mm thick, giving full flexibility from small precision tools to large industrial systems.
Which abrasive should I specify?
It depends on your alloy and finish. Silicon carbide cuts hard, brittle materials fast; aluminium oxide is versatile; zirconia and sol-gel ceramics deliver longer life and precision finishing; diamond and CBN suit the hardest alloys and tightest tolerances.
Do you supply blasting media as well as wheels?
Yes. White and brown fused alumina, silicon carbide, synthetic alumina and alumina-zirconia composites are available for surface preparation, cleaning and etching using compressed air or liquid blast systems.
Are coated abrasives available for finishing work?
Yes. Coated abrasive belts and papers are available with grain on cloth, paper or fibre backings — suitable for sanding, deburring, surface dressing and fine finishing.
