About this certification

Anderman & Company Ltd in the UK, together with our US subsidiary Anderman Ceramics Inc., was awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification in December 2020. In November 2025, our French business also achieved ISO 9001 for the first time, a significant milestone in strengthening quality and consistency across our global operations.

This certification recognises our commitment to rigorous processes across all activities conducted from our UK, USA and France offices. While the accreditation followed an intensive six-month programme to align and document procedures, quality has always been at the heart of how we work. With more than 75 years of trading, we have built our reputation on reliable delivery, technical expertise and strong partnerships.

ISO 9001:2015 formalises these principles and reinforces our values:

  • Excellence with Expertise : consistent, high-performance solutions
  • Customer Focus : delivering what matters most to our partners
  • Trust through Integrity : transparent processes, dependable results
  • Thriving Together : working collaboratively with colleagues and customers
  • Sustainability : continually improving the way we operate

For us, ISO 9001 isn’t a badge, it’s a promise.

A promise to deliver reliable solutions today… and to keep improving for tomorrow.

Issued by
IASME Consortium (on behalf of NCSC)
Scope
"All Anderman & Company UK and France IT infrastructure, devices, cloud services and data handling."

About this certification

Cyber Essentials is the UK government’s baseline cyber-security standard, administered through the National Cyber Security Centre and certified by IASME. It confirms five technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management.

For customers in regulated sectors — defence, aerospace, public infrastructure — Cyber Essentials is increasingly a procurement requirement when supplier networks touch sensitive specifications or drawings. We renew annually.

ISO 14001 :2015

ISO 14001:2015

Environmental Management System

Held since
June 2022
Last renewed
June 2025
Expires
June 2028
Issued by
BSI Group
Scope
"Identification and management of environmental aspects across UK and French operations, including stockholding, machining, packaging and distribution."

About this certification

ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard for Environmental Management Systems. It confirms that a business identifies its environmental impacts, sets measurable objectives to reduce them, and audits performance against those objectives on a continuous cycle.

For Anderman, the certification covers freight-emissions monitoring, packaging-waste reduction targets, and the partner-vetting policy that prefers manufacturers who themselves hold ISO 14001 or equivalent. Audited annually by BSI Group.

Buyer perspective

Why our certifications matter to you

For procurement

Our quality certifications give your supplier-vetting team confidence that Anderman has the documented controls a major industrial supplier should have — and that those controls are independently audited, not self-declared. Our scope statement is broad enough to cover your application; if you need a copy of the certificate or the scope on letterhead, we can usually have it on its way the same day.

For technical buyers

ISO 9001 is the framework that underpins consistent material grades, traceable batches, controlled non-conformance handling and documented corrective actions. When you specify a 99.9% alumina geometry from us, you can trace what arrived against what you ordered, and we can trace it back to the kiln and the batch.

For compliance teams

Each certification is paired with a documented audit trail and a renewal cycle. Certificates are public; scopes are public; the certifying bodies are independently verifiable. We can also provide our internal QMS index, supplier-vetting policy and document-control register on request — most regulated-industry buyers ask for these alongside the certificates themselves.

Industry memberships

Recognised participation in our trade

  • UK Ceramics Federation Distributor representation on the federation's strategic committee.
  • Fédération de l'Industrie des Céramiques de France French member since 2010 — sector intelligence and standards engagement.
  • Refractories Engineering Federation UK distributor member — refractory technical-standards working group.
  • Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining Corporate member; senior team hold individual professional registration.
Beyond the certificates

Internal standards we hold ourselves to

QC procedures

Documented inbound-goods inspection, dimensional verification on machined parts, batch-level traceability, and a controlled non-conformance / CAPA register reviewed quarterly.

Supplier vetting

Manufacturers we represent are vetted on certification, capacity, financial resilience and ESG practice. We re-vet annually, and we will not represent a manufacturer that fails the policy.

Document control

QMS index version-controlled; engineering drawings and customer specifications held under a single revision-controlled system; certificates of conformity issued with every despatch.

Continuous improvement

Quarterly management reviews, customer-feedback intake routed into the CAPA system, and an internal-audit cycle that surfaces issues before they reach an external auditor.
